• Software Question

    Good morning,

I am using my CNC machine for cutting instrument panels out of 5052T aluminum. What software would you recommend? I was using MillMage as my main software. I also have used QCAD/CAM as a design software. I am not set on any of the two listed above. Is there a better CAD/CAM software out there that you would recommend? This is a new venture for me and I would like to use my machine for cutting panels as well as wood projects for personal and business ideas.

    Thank you,

    Chris

    Hey Chris,

Vectric is a great software that is easy to use and would be good for the projects you are making.

      Hello Miranda,

Thank you for the reply. What level of Vectric would you recommend purchasing for what I am planning on machining?

      Thanks

I would recommend Vcarve Pro. The good thing with Vectric is that if you buy a lower level, like Vcarve Desktop, but later you want to upgrade to Vcarve Pro, you only pay the difference. This takes the fear out of getting the wrong level. http://www.vectric.com/andybird
